BC does not typically collect sensitive personal information. In addition, we collect any information you submit as part of an application for a career opportunity, and this includes the information you use to register and set up an account within our talent community service. This information is not sold.

Some cookies are set by our third-party partners, and the data they collect is accessible to them. If you wish to review our job opportunities or apply for a job at BC using a third-party platform such as LinkedIn, please be aware that you will be directed to a webpage managed by a third-party vendor. Any personal information submitted on our career website is subject to our vendor’s privacy policy and terms.

BC operates and maintains a separate job-listing website for water industry professionals called BC Water Jobs. Jobs listed on that website are for positions with other companies and municipalities not affiliated with BC. BC is not responsible for the accuracy of any job postings on BC Water Jobs. BC is also not responsible for any personal information you may submit when applying to another company or municipality through a job posting on BC Water Jobs.

Similarly, BC is not responsible for the privacy practices of any other company, such as app developers, social media platforms, internet service providers, or device manufacturers. This applies to any personal information you share with these companies through our website, social media pages, or other digital services or interactive features.

BC reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy on an as-needed basis as changes in technology and legal requirements dictate. We will notify you of changes by posting a revised version of our Privacy Policy here, or by other appropriate means.
