About 100 people gathered last week to hear and watch Washington Gov. Jay Inslee christen the Port of Olympia’s new stormwater treatment plant, an $11.5 million project that recently became operational. The plant is expected to treat 65 million gallons of stormwater annually.

New water rules elude Oregon task force

Capital Press

An Oregon task force was unable to agree on rules for a $10 million water supply development fund at its last meeting but will continue negotiating. The group is charged with developing standards for how much water can be withdrawn from streams during peak flows.
