So far, heavy metals found in all Portland school water

The results are in for summer district-wide testing on 80 of Portland Public Schools' buildings and no building’s water has been safe from heavy metals. The district says it is still waiting for results from about 20 more buildings, but so far every one of the district's schools has water with levels of lead or copper that exceed federal guidelines.

Idaho approves $7.2 million for aquifer recharge

The Idaho Water Resource Board will invest $7.2 million in construction improvements to boost recharge flows for replenishing the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer. Improvements to three recharge sites would provide for a projected total of 140,000 acre-feet per year of winter recharge water.

Final Alberta flood, drought funding announced

The Alberta government announced $1 million in grants to help improve flood and drought resiliency across the province. The money from the Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program will help improve the natural watershed functions of rivers.
