Tiger's
Teed at West Michigan
Chicago Tribune -
10/19
A billboard
artist is spreading the message to clean up Michigan's water, but
it could be at the expense of Tiger Woods' looks.
The cartoon is
featured on six billboards across the state, with the famous
golfer's likeness. It calls for support of Proposal Two.
The boards show
Woods spitting out murky, brown Michigan water, saying he doesn't
feel "up to par."
The golfer's
agent says it's way out of bounds, and he's looking into what
Woods can do about it.
Mark Heckman
created the billboard. It's not the first time the artist has
sketched celebrities. He says they're fair game.
"I'm
basically doing a parody on Tiger Woods like Saturday Night Live
or anything else," Heckman says. "I'm just having fun
with his image."
Proposal Two asks
voters to let the state borrow one billion dollars by selling
bonds. The money would be used to improve water quality.
Communties could get state loans to upgrade their sewer systems,
to help prevent overflow and water pollution.
