Zeilenga
to join water commission
Chicago Tribune
- 5/15
County
Board Chairman Robert Schillerstrom has appointed County Administrator
Donald Zeilenga to the board of the DuPage Water Commission, to
replace Jack Tenison, DuPage Technology Park executive director.
Zeilenga,
59, is DuPage's highest-ranking, non-elected official. Last month
he announced that he has accepted a buyout from the county and
will retire as administrator by the end of the year.
Tenison,
52, stepped down from the Lake Michigan water agency's board because
remaining on it would have jeopardized his county pension. Tenison
resigned as Deputy County administrator last year to take his
job with the technology park.
The
County Board approved Schillerstrom's appointment on Tuesday.
Zeilenga will officially be sworn in at the commission's June
meeting.
