The Groundwater Foundation is now accepting applications for Groundwater University 2004, a summer camp program for junior high and high school students interested in the environment. Students from across the United States between the ages of 12 and 15 may apply. Up to 20 students will be selected to participate. The hands-on event provides students with an opportunity to learn about a variety of groundwater and related natural resources topics while being introduced to careers in the environmental field.
Groundwater University faculty include professional hydrologists, chemists, irrigation experts, well drillers and geologists from government agencies, private water testing laboratories, universities and colleges, and municipal water systems.

This year’s event will be held June 15-17, 2003 at Platte River State Park located between Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. Applications for Groundwater University are now being accepted. The cost for participation in Groundwater University is $175. This fee includes meals and lodging. Limited scholarships are available.
