AWWA and AWWRF report: Development and Standardization of a Cryptosporidium Genotyping Tool for Water Samples (AWWA, 8/9) "Waterborne cryptosporidiosis presents a serious threat to human health due to the ubiquitous distribution of Cryptosporidium spp. in humans, animals and water, and resistance of the oocysts to harsh environmental condition, various disinfectants and many treatment practices.
