Doesn't hold water

While Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has the support of the San Luis Valley's biggest landowner for his proposal to create 530,000 acres of conservation easements, he doesn't have the backing of its leading water agency. Pueblo Chieftain

The lure of water

Improved trails, parks and other projects all along Fountain Creek are planned as part of a $2.5 million Great Outdoors Colorado grant announced Tuesday. It's one of eight projects, all focused on the lure of water, that will receive state lottery grants. Colorado Springs Gazette
