Flagstaff panel divided on safety of effluent

A panel gathered Monday at NAU's DuBois Center to answer questions about wastewater treatment techniques and the safety of using or drinking reclaimed water. Flagstaff plans to begin discussions on the issue next week, with the city's approval of reclaimed water for a Flagstaff sledding hill up for decision. Arizona Daily Sun

Water bills going up to pay for lake intakes

Next spring, water bills will rise to help pay the Southern Nevada Water Authority’s mounting debt used to fund some $3.3 billion in pumps, pipes and intakes installed over the past several years. The fee is needed because the old way of paying off water utility debt — connection fees paid by developers — has dried up. Las Vegas Sun
