Overview and Local Integrated Water Management Plans
A tour of a few key spots in the California “waterscape,” and an explanation of how the statewide water system works.

The Delta
A tour of the Delta and a perspective on what it is, where it is, what condition it’s in, and what it may look like in the future. Experts will describe the Delta’s importance to the environment and the economy, and the consequences if it is not protected.

Colorado River
A visit to the Colorado River Aqueduct and other areas where river water is used within California, and interviews with representatives of state water agencies.

Sacramento Valley Water Management Program
Interviews with SVWMP representatives at various sites in the Sacramento Valley, and how the valley has become a leader in groundwater management.

Surface Storage
State water officials will discuss flood control, water supply, water quality and other benefits from surface storage.

Recycling
A tour of a water recycling plant and insight into the role that recycled water plays in California’s water supply.

A tour of facilities associated with regional water management plans and a discussion with local officials about the role of those plans in meeting California’s water needs.

Examples of water use efficiency, both agricultural and urban, and a discussion of the investment made and the water saved.
