Final version of California Water Plan update now posted

The Department of Water Resources today released the Highlights booklet and initial volumes of the latest edition of the California Water Plan, which since 1957 has guided the state's water resource management and planning. The strategic plan is for understanding, managing and developing water resources for current and future generations.


As infrastructure crumbles, trillions of gallons lost


Across the country, many communities are raising water rates to begin addressing the aging infrastructure problem. California and Maine, as well as several individual communities, are asking voters next week to approve massive bond initiatives to fund water infrastructure improvements.
