Wet weather

Don't expect much snow from soaking storm on its way

Widespread rainfall forecast for Friday into the weekend.

San Francisco Chronicle

Lake Shasta and Lake Oroville, as well as other reservoirs across the state, are still below average. But the storm isn't expected to do anything for the state's snowpack, with just an inch forecasted to fall in the Sierra.
