A third webcam showing the work at the Oroville Dam spillway has been live since Monday, showing the concrete chute that was not damaged. The first webcam at Lake Oroville has been live for years and overlooks the dam from the water side. The second webcam went live in mid-May and cycles through views of the main spillway from across the Diversion Pool.


Fresno farmer floods crops, boosts his water table

An olive orchard in western Fresno County is being flooded to recharge the aquifer. Don Cameron is a pioneer in the process, and a recent flood recharge workshop on his farm drew more than 70 people, including UC researchers, irrigation districts and farmers from around the state.


Engineers head to Peru village on a water mission

Five representatives for the Sonoma County chapter of Engineers Without Borders will trek into the Peruvian rainforest this weekend on a mission to deliver safe, clean water to remote village residents. They'll use designs and expertise that have already brought life-saving change to three other Amazon Basin communities.
