Aug. 27–29
ASCE 5th International Engineering and Construction Conference (UC Irvine)
This multidisciplinary forum covers a wide range of engineering areas with an emphasis on design and construction. The goal of this conference is to enhance the lines of communication between researchers and technical professionals to exchange innovative research and technological advancements.

Sept. 14-17
RMSAWWA/RMWEA Joint Annual Conference (Colorado Springs)
The annual conference of the Rocky Mountain Section American Water Works Association/Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association is a great way to find out how others are improving on existing technologies and creating new ones, as well as to interact and network with other wastewater and drinking water professionals, and to obtain continuing education credits.

 

Sept. 20-24
Arizona Hydrological Society Annual Symposium (Flagstaff)
The Arizona Hydrological Society and the American Institute of Professional Geologists are jointly hosting the 2008 annual meeting in Flagstaff, Ariz., from Sept. 20-24. This joint meeting of two professional societies will be held at the new High Country Conference Center on the Northern Arizona University campus. Highlights will include a full two days of technical presentations, plenary sessions, several workshops, and numerous field trips to the geological wonders of northern Arizona.

WaterSmart Innovations Conference & Expo (Las Vegas)

October 13-14
NGWA International Conference on Nonrenewable Ground Water Resources (Portland)
Many areas of the world rely on nonrenewable ground water resources, defined here as aquifer systems whose replenishment rates are so small that, for all practical purposes, their development is unsustainable and will eventually deplete the available water in storage. This meeting aims to facilitate the sharing of information and management approaches among water professionals from around the globe. An optional field trip is on October 15.
